For someone very special

A single leaf fell from a tree;
You found it there, you held it well;
With pride, you tended leaf; and though --
It's soul had died, you broke the spell.
Death held no sway; there was no end;
Your steadfast care revived it true .
One dead leaf fell, but you saw hope --
In heartbeat swell you brought anew;
Breathed life into each vein of leaf,
Soft touch of skin -- with thoughts that gel;
Fired faith within leaf's frail repose
Saved leaf from certain listless hell.
Laced with the precious seeds of love,
You nurtured leaf, yet left no trace --
That you had healed its fragile frame;
Became its once -- and saving -- grace.

This is so beautifully-written. The metaphor of the leaf leaves a wonderful imagery in my mind. I like this very much!
