Nine Twenty-Five

by Jeff Mason — Read all 207 poems by Jeff Mason

Monday, February 23, 2004

9:25; on Saturday night,
and the light

still on --

reminds me,
of you...

night,
devoid of sleep

in wanting

longing, again --
to die
within your captive gaze

your deep, piercing eyes
pleading;
that subtle
dreamy haze

frosted breath,
in crisp, cold air

sending my nerves
shooting everywhere --

begging,

to touch
your dark
velvet hair;

needing you here and
wishing me there.
