I loved to go ice skating in the middle of Summer in West Covina, in Southern California. It would be 110 o in the shade outside and a cool 40o in the skating rink. I'd skate around people, between the dividers and do circles with the hockey players. I felt so good, I'd walk home happily without needing the shade.
