The theme's there, but maybe not obvious. So, I started Halloween late...
Dead morning, three o’clock, twisted body’s still warm.
In small, shaded voice she whispered:
‘Just stop it. This is morbid; we can’t go on.’
And he turned…
‘You wouldn’t dare. Go ahead, I don’t care.’
He sneered, pushed, rolled, slid fangs down her chest…
Hammer pounded nail into soft irritated flesh
Ignored pain filled moans, her labored breath
Grabbed her by her jaw, and said,
‘Give me your face, cupped hand,
Scarred breasts
Tell me that you love me, hate me,
Or any damn thing you please.
Like it, what I do,
Made a change in you.
Take what I give,
Or hit the f***ing streets.
I’ll laugh when you try to live
Again.’
Pass the blood then pass out.
Slurried eyes drip mascara
Scalpel splits pale skin
What beauty is this that
Winds its way along
Your wrist
Crawl back in bed
Get some final rest
Your naked time
Draws to lonely end
Close coffin’s lid on joy
Wake up cold.
Green eyed blonde
You lit three on a match
Camels, no filters
You’re way too young for that
Don’t worry
Don’t hurry
If you’re going to dye you hair henna
Make sure everything’s a match…
Tattoos, chains, black tights
Switch-blade knife…
