Just a little food for thought

 Embrace The Child

It's raining it's pouring
my parents are boring.
Perfectly content watching TV
you think they'd play checkers or monopoly with me.
Build me a race track on the
living room floor,
play basketball with the hoop
that hangs on my door.
Instead they lazily lay on
the couch,
they must of forgot
what kids think about.
Maybe I need to remind them
again
to embrace the child they
were back then.

A poem with a message. Parents need to be careful or their children will grow up just like them.

Sadly, this painted a lot of families in the today's society. Children sit in a room playing video games, and the parents sit in the living room watching TV. No need to bother each other. - And that is how most kids are growing up nowadays. Sad, but true.

My son wrote a book of his personal, one liner quotes. Never underestimate the power of simple statements! A very interesting read!

Look for Something Good by Robert Drews

When two men hit the reset button and decide to go out looking for the good in the world, they not only find it but also a lot more. P.S. The title is listed on Amazon under Look for Something Good by Robert Drews (not by Robert H. Drews)
