Remember the Good Old Days
Remember the good old days,
our kitchen table and birthday cakes.
Those stormy summer afternoons
we road our bikes just me and you.
The paper route down old Mill road you paid me just to go,
the Saturday morning donut shop oh how I loved it so.
Baseball in the yard inning after inning,
you'd try so very hard and always end up winning.
I remember everything and cherish
it each day,
some things never change, time nor distance can take away.
Years they passed us this is true , but
my brother my heart still beats for you.
We were young and didn't know,
what lie ahead and our future would hold.
Yet here we are and a lifetime's gone by,
remember those days my how time flies.
Those good old days just me and you,
and all life's trials we've been through.
I remember and now understand,
we were always a part of God's heavenly plan.
