Wonderful poetic thoughts about Freedom! We are as free as we want to be. I recall reading about St. Paul when he was in prison. To live is Christ and our freedom is through Him. No one can take it away because the love of the Lord is in our hearts. Yes, America needs to wake-up! We should not take our freedom to worship openly for granted. If we do we may all be sentenced to prison terms for telling the Biblical truth because it will be against the law. Can't you see that coming? It's all too close for comfort. I for one will fight until death for what I believe in. So now you know...

Things have changed. They are always changing. Our country has periods of rancor like this before, several times. But when a real threat occurs, like Pearl Harbor, we rise to the occasion and put aside our differences.

For everyone, the childhood years were always the best. For a child does not see poverty and injustice. A child only sees what is around him or her and what his or her's family does about it. And bad memories fade faster than good ones.

It's a beautiful poem, I just don't agree with the sentiment. Seems to me your country is is on good way towards freedom. Freedom from under the slavery of the overpowering dollar. If you can't get to where you want to go in life because the basic neccesities you need to get there (education, house rent, healthcare to name some) are to expensive, then the only freedom are for those who have money.

But sadly we are far from being united.
