Trust

Without it we have nothing, with it sometimes we get hurt. I'm closing my eyes tonight trusting tomorrow will come. No matter what lies ahead trust is what keeps me going.

 

Trust
 
It has no particular value
it can't be bought or sold,
however when it's broken
everything changes
as events unfold.
To try to get it back
takes years of dedication,
some may never understand
it's part of life's foundation.
Add faith and love and you've
won but if trust falls short one day,
forgiveness is the answer
opening doors lighting the way.
Don't travel your journey in darkness
it's ok to trust once more,
life's about taking chances
and trust turns the key to
tomorrow's door.

Life to me is also about taking chances, trusting people more, and doing this I find I'm finding my way into tomorrow.

The key to good living is to align yourself with those who share your trust. Allying with a deceitful person only leads to pain and misery that no amount of forgiveness can mend. Like your poem says, one should always leave the door open to life, but watch out for those who would violate your trust.
