My dad battles cancer and tonight he is my inspiration. I told you I would write a poem about time tonight dad. I love you!
Time Has time ran away, am I just a fool, can yesterday change every trial I've been through? I reach for perfection struggle for peace, hoping I've accomplished what's expected of me. Time we can't rush though often we do, our darkest moments we journey right through. With hope that tomorrow might possibly bring, what life lacks today changing everything. Time exists yet waits for no one, live for the moment when tomorrow is done. May regrets never alter your soul today, and the grace of God lead your way. Time is a treasure a gift from above, don't wish it away nor speed up it's love. Dance and rejoice give thanks it's ok no matter what time may bring your way. When life is over all said and done, the time you were given over and gone. Rest your eyes sleep peaceful tonight, no matter what obstacles waltz through your life. Time is not promised like lightening it fades, with the blink of an eye it goes away. Written By Kathy J Parenteau

I'm not as eloquent, or as biblical informed, but I know what I know, and that is we are here. We live our lives. We waste our time, or we use it to our advantage or to help other people. When at last we lay down to rest, hopefully we can look back and smile because we have done our absolute best.

A great poem for your dad, with lots to think about. As I read your poem I thought of the two ways time is viewed in the Bible: chronos, which refers to the passage of time, and kairos, which refers to th value time carries. We are given just so much chronos, and its our job to make as much kairos asmyou can out of it.
