Memories

My glass will always be half full. I count my blessings every day. Thank God for my memories.

 Memories

 
They take us away,
on a voyage through time,
dancing silently
in our hearts and minds.
A sweet release from life's sorrow
and pain
a treasure a gift 
as we stroll down that lane.
May you take a moment 
and remember today,
those times of the past
that slipped away.
The smell of the ocean
or a rose freshly bloomed,
summer nights and
the light of the moon.
A star you once made a wish
upon,
offering hope as you journeyed along.
This life you live
every goal you've achieved,
forever survives in
your memories.

Brilliant. Brilliant because the poem changes ones paradigm with such universal descriptions that we all relate to with upbeat memories of joy and special times. Such a poem does change ones thought thread to a gregarious spirit.

Nicely said, Kathy. Life is also about adversity, overcoming obstacles, getting knocked down and kicked while you are there. We must get up, forgive, and move on. But we must also remember if we are to learn anything from them. Still, we gotta accentuate the positive! Cheers...
