A compassionate soul dances throughout eternity.
It does not judge but reaches out and holds the hands of those who need someone to listen and help.

 Compassion

She walked into the church
early Sunday morn,
not dressed as you might have
expected her clothes were
tattered and torn.
The agony on her face told
a story all could see,
as she stepped up to the alter
prayed "Father rescue me."
All watched in utter silence
yet kept their fearful distance,
as she said her prayer of faith
not one ounce of resistance.
Reaching the point of no return
nothing left to lose,
she gave her heart to God,
the congregation watched, amused.
One early Sunday morn
her courageous leap of faith,
opened the eyes to
who suffer heartbreak every day.
Reminding them to count their blessings
maybe that was Gods perfect plan,
to plant the seed of compassion
in the hearts of her fellow man.

Compassion. We all need to show compassion. Sometimes we all need compassion. This poem addressed it all.

A perfectly conjured meaningful poetic prayer poem. Well done Kathy! I watched the 700 Club today as the worlds heavyweight champion wrestler told how he gave up drugs in just one day after giving his heart to Jesus Christ. Most folks thought he had everything but with Jesus he was an empty man. To the WORLD we may look like the BEST or the WORST person in their eyes. But we are all Gods children and He loves us just the same. Amen
