For a moment, I laid my head against his chest, so that I my remember the rhythm of his heart beat,

Once more I felt it as though time knew; I would walk this earth without him,

I laid my chest on his to again make a memory out of a moment,

I heard the two sang only love, and it is that moment the love of him haunted me, plagued my thoughts for eternity,

His tears, flowed so gentle to rest on my cheek,

His hands touched my skin, like fire was his kiss,

Whispering only love my dear, only love,

As days went, so did time, I walked this world alone, reminded of passion taken away,

My weakness for long ago, was my conspiracy,

The sunrise gave me some comfort, some truth,

As the sunset gave me memories of a damned soul,

He was all I knew, all I thought of, all I wanted,

Michael slept with me; his body was my pillow, as dreams of no more found ways to exist in my bed,

I consoled myself, playing back a kiss again and again,

Holding on to a touch, as I wrapped my arms around myself, giving me some what of comfort,

Only love I said to my body, only love,

Without conscious thought , I found my body, my soul at his grave, resting my head on the ground, a cold chill frightened me, his warmth was all I sought , an that was no more,

I followed his foot steps, remembering his walk, every place he visited I called mine just for a moment, time slipped past me,

My shadow followed me through my journey of the unknown,

My life was not my own, his loved cursed me, I coursed me, for the love of him was all I every thought of,

I set a table for two, raised my glass to love's past, present and to a future without you.

Michael I whispered only love,

kinda gets ya in deep Deb,

right here -

For a moment, I laid my head against his chest, so that I my remember the rhythm of his beaten heart,

do you mean he lost a struggle, his heart had been 'beaten'

or did you mean you heart his heart 'beat', I was a little perplexed there, at any rate I liked the softness and now sheer it was in the poem ty al
