It is sad when couples race into marriage
And the growing up has not sunk in.

                                      DIVORCE

                          Divorce is a bad word
                          It is spoken   every day
                          Who would ever want love
                          to up   and go astray

It boils down   to who is giving
while others   just ride and slide
                          Who gave you   your children
that family life   woven in pride

You were drawn   by physical attraction
                          enjoyment of ever lasting fruit
                          No one saw it coming
                          till separation   began taking root

Yes I lived this life   and all it's turns
married the same woman   times three
we never threw mud   or words that burns
                          which left our conscience free

A child can not   let go of the past
mistakes are blamed   on the parents
                          Never letting things to drop
                          until their life becomes transparent

So may be I am one   of the lucky ones
where the children   tied the knot
No matter how long   your dreams may last
                          Divorce makes a family rot
