Nasty awakening..
mind in a mire,
wondering if
I might I inquire..
where am I. ?
who are you.. ?
and do you know who i am.. ?
torn hose..
what it could
have been...who knows ?
instead of a back alley..
a bed of flowers ?
swaying home in struggling steps
trying not to fall
cursing concrete cuts
my face the map
o’ broken bones
sick i am..with the taste
o’ the drinks drank
in drunken haste..
christ...when will ye deliver me
from my iniquities ?.
Pater...
libera me, Domine,
de morte aeterna
in die tremenda..
wide the sky above,
but wider.. my Madonna...
she tells me that i wrang..
she’ gies tae me a sweeter sang
that i may sing..
angelus bells will ring...
and my dying will be easy.....
