Death like a poison
Pursues me -
Through a labyrinth
Of confused dreams

Faces with vacant eyes,
Mouths twisted in cruelty
Bloody hands, bloody feet
Left to lie in barren deserts
The sins of demented hearts
Where stone minds crumble
Facing the lashing winds,
The Sphinx of fear, lies broken
Under a night of eternal stars

Then comes the scream
First one, then two, then three
As my blood congeals
In my veins, a thousand voices
Flood the ancient buriel grounds
As men with masked faces
Run towards their death -
A death decreed by a blind God

A child's mind can be twisted
In this vicious cycle,
The tumor of hate turns milignant
Infecting generations to come,
So that when I wake, sweating
I tremble at these obscenities
Falling upon bruised knees
I offer a prayer - realizing
That the bloodshed never ends
