Lap of Darkness

"Lap of Darkness"


 


Tempted to...
a calm sepulture
so maladjusted to
the chalice, I am

Dim chapel
made of shade--the
mask of light--
the gut of night--spilling
stains ... filled
my fire brim
toppled

In silence, as
with pain, or
with pleasure,
I, still, live--even
if both, I feel

Even as light
bends my senses
and satisfies or
inspires my desire
of it ... I have
peace in dark--in ...

the gut ....

We are surrounded by evil, we can feel the evil there, hopefully we don't act evil knowingly. It is hard to find the good sometimes, it seems elusive and light where as evil seems crushing. I can't begin to pretend how anyone feels , I can't explain how I feel .

The darkness can be so very comforting. When the eyes adjust to the darkness, it can bring it's own special blend of safety and comfort. How else can the stars of heaven spangle so bright if it weren't for the darkly canvass that God stitched. Ah, to know the valor of both is to know God, thanks for sharing your heart, your fears, and your hopes, isn't it amazing how we can do this through a simple honest poem, have a great day Darkly Angel. Make those wings count, xo
