When I first met you
The love we had … was like flowers blooming—
Fresh and New ….
All I held, in my heart and soul,
Did once belong to you
Now, the times have passed—
The love we had … grew, too;
Like flowers fully bloomed—
Smell … so lovely—swarmed of bees—the fruitful nectar;
Yet, petals die by the two ….
Their once beautiful virescent leaves—wilting
In the dew of … weary passion—they kiss gloom
The pain shadows my hoping mind
Now, loving you … seems to be
A waste of valued time ….
The Autumn of my heart sees tears falling
The failed, decaying merry makes … Harvest Moons ….
The love we have is … the Spring of our times passed
And … you can’t begin to see that
I still love you … Even so,
The pain shadows your hoping mind
Now, loving me … seems to be
A waste of valued time ….
