"Park it" Pulling into the Driveway of life ending-- Checking the rearview Mirror with noises And smoke--sputtering Loping and bucking-- End to end Nothing behind Worth a second look Tired of this junk Not even worth a trade In for a new one Kick the--fight the Open the ... door; feet Touch the pile of trash Falling out on the Floor ... Reading this, at this time in my life completely says it all insofar as I can relate, Darkest, and relate I damn well do. Of all the poems have read, THIS is the one I wish I had written. This is good!

Great allegory! And there's a number of fatal system failures right around the corner to end it all� The failed engine or transmission� A part you can't get anymore vital to the drivetrain� Rust eating a big hole in the floor to fall through� And finally, that inevitable wreck that puts everything in the junkyard gravesite.

One would only wish there were dedicated frame off restorers for the human body like there are for four wheeled junkyard beauties.
