“A Birdie!”

I am the wounded bird you found—
The one you wanted to keep and save, but

I am a bird, and birds, need, to be, free

You put your heart and soul into keeping me
And making sure that I became well—
Placing me, softly, into your delicate, little
Birdcage….

Each time, you came to check on me,
The tensions grew, and
Grew, as I flapped my wings, more and
More

At first, my behavior made you happy, but

I am a bird, and birds, need, to be, free

You opened the cage door, once more,

A little too shaky, for me…!

I take it as the bird doesn't leave, happy to be healing. Cool poem

It is often the case, sometimes healers know the risks they take when they mend a broken wing, but in the end, all goes back to the natural order of things, and yes, the birds must fly free. Well said dark Angel xo

Thought-inciting at the very least. Love and peace to you,

It's tough to give up an bird you cared for and nursed back to health, but you did the right thing.

It's wonderful when a bird can be healed and set free from injury.

But it's the "shaky" in the last line that confuses me.

And somewhere out there in the wild blue yonder a bird flies.
and somewhere in the heart of an angel a love lives on.
