Pompeii, the city noble and most grand
Where. People lived most gaily and sublime
Product of Roman labor, glorious land
Glistening on the sea in the summertime
But evil fate awaited old Pompeii.
A firey mountains anger did await
The citizens could not have known that day
That grisly death would soon be their sad fate.
The fire from old Vesuvius did roar
And cover old Pompeii and all her dreams.
Alas the mighty city was no more
And all the people in fear they did scream
For tempting God it is no mystery,
As Sodom and Pompeii in history
