A story of summer.

New Seasons

A yellow field of Daffodils,
blotched with patches of green grass. Within them grew small Blackberry bramble and the odd Holly bush. Natures Jigsaw Puzzle in Harridan’s ten acre field.

Small Hawthorn bushes were dotted here and there. Sunflower standing tall, their faces looking towards the early morning sun, natures picture, framed by the limit of one's own sight.

The field had a border of Hawthorn hedge, trimmed and diagonally staked by the local hedge trimmer. No machine had slashed the hedge, which left it with a ragged untidy finish, but trimmed with a hedging wield.

The coming of the end of Winter, always left natures objects hidden and unseen by the nature lover during the summer months.
Trees, still devoid of Springs new leaves, shown in stark reality the vacated apartments.

Crows and Raven's nests will soon be visited again by their previous owner builders. To be refurbished with new sticks and twigs, to be lined with soft furnishing of feather, down and moss.

New nests will often have to be constructed, as the Winter months were often subject to hard frosts, or days of continuous snow which lay
heavy upon the old nests, till fallen and scattered, like
hieroglyphics on a white parchment.

Early Primroses grew beneath roadside hedges, drawing the eyes to their bright yellow beauty. There is a lesson to be learned here, and that is that the hedger-row holds as much beauty as does that of a planted field. Though a field of wet potatoes, if left; is most gross.

Spring, the season of promise of that which is to come. Summer, the mother and grandparent of all that grows in their season. Autumn, a season not of death, but of recuperation. To prepare for a glorious resurrection after Winters awaking chill.
