This was my first car accident. I kept having nightmares about the accident until I finally finished this. After finishing this I was finally able to not have a heart attack after hearing screeching wheels. So this is for any of you out there that have had a car accident where your air bags deploy.
Your heart starts pumping wildly
Your breath becomes ragged
Your eyes start to unfocus
Your legs get weak
You start to sweat
Your brain stops working
You get disoriented
You can’t get out
You start to panic
You try to figure out where you are
You try to comprehend what just happened
Your brain refuses to work
You try again to focus
You can’t
You can’t get out
Panic hits you hard
You feel the adrenaline rush
You sweat even more
You see smoke
You try to rationalize what just happened
Your brain still doesn’t work
You can’t get out
You can’t figure out why it’s hot
Your brain finally registers you see smoke
Your eyes start to water
Your chest gets tight
Panic overtakes you
You finally get out
Your legs still don’t work
You stumble
You trip
You almost fall
You get sweat in your eyes
You fight to get air into your lungs
Your brain starts to work
You brain starts to register your surroundings
You stumble
You catch a glimpse
You start to cough
Your lungs scream for air
You stumble
You cough
You catch another glimpse
Your brain kicks into high gear
You cough
You stumble
You look
Your brain starts to scream at you
Your hearing kicks in
You start to take in your surroundings
You start to remember what happened
You remember hearing a loud pop
You remember the smoke
You look back
No flames
No flames
No flames
Your heartbeat starts to level out
Your legs start to work better
Your lungs still scream for air
You cough some more
Your surroundings come back to you
Your senses come back to you
Your heart slows a bit more
Your brain works fully
You remember what happened
You thank god you’re okay
Your legs give out
You’re sitting on the ground
You get clean air into your lungs
Your eyes unfocus
Your adrenaline rush is starting to falter
Your breathing slows
Your heartbeat slows
You take another look
You reflect
You thank
You break down

i'm lucky to never have car accident, however once i hit black ice which spun my car around on the highway and when my car stopped i was facing oncoming traffic lead by a tractor trailer. strangely and thankfully no one hit me nor vice versa.
