My in-laws have been a god sent to me. I love them with all my heart.
I’m not sure if anyone realizes, exactly how I feel about them.
They’re not just in-laws to me, they’re family to me.
They were there for me when I needed them.
They treated me like on of their kids, better if you ask their youngest.
They took me into their home
Without a moan or groan
They gave me room to grow
They allowed me to have a life of my own
They supported my decisions
They didn’t question my reasons
They never played mind games
They let me live on my own
The rules were simple
The rules were clear
I even bought a truck that year
All the time living in their home
It was great living in their home
The one he had built on his own
But it was time to move out of their home
It was time to move out on my own
It was hard not living in their home
It wasn't long before I longed to be back in their home
“Home is where the heart is” I was told
No one realized my heart was in that home
I silently cried when they sold that home
They were moving to a better home
He needed a kinder climate to call home
Now we live next to that home
We picked up and moved to a new home
When they needed help taking care of their own
Now I’m wondering if I’ll be able to call this home
When God calls him to his home
