This is a poem about enlightenment that I wrote when I was 13. Possibly one of the most natural and insightful things I've ever written.

The butterfly of happiness
Was flying everywhere,
Every time I tried to catch her
She would disappear.

I searched the world for her wings
Every night and day,
I came so close so many times
She always slipped away.

After searching many years
To find the butterfly,
I realized she can’t be caught
However hard you try.

And when I stopped my lifelong search
And sat beneath a tree,
The butterfly of happiness
Landed on my knee.
