One day I looked in the mirror
And saw faces looking back.
My mother, my father, sister,
Brother and aunt,
My first love, my last love,
and broken hearts, too.
All who I have known
For better or worse,
Cast shadows and light
On my life
Stealing my Self like a thief in the night.
What do I do to be Who I Am?
Remember the Source where it all began.
For as the moon is one
but reflected in whole
In the face of each dewdrop
Each early morn.
So separate but One through life I flee
Forgetting the faces in the mirror
Are the faces of Me.
