... this is definitely the last one I have had rattling around in my bag for the moment! But the distance covered by each poem is so small, I guess they could just go on and on sometime... But, I'll give them a tea-break for now - and you know that English ones DO tend to last a very long time!! Thanks for appearing to enjoy them all so much. I love them to! :)))
ARTIST'S TEA-BREAK
They spoke
not a word,
but communication
was incessant:
Emotional traffic
back and forth
signalled their
every move.
All she had to do
was breathe,
and images
were created.
All he had to do
was paint,
and she came
to life.
Their relationship
was living art;
music in the making;
poetry in motion.
Speechless -
But never silent.

You have the makings of an awe inspiring book of poems here Kate. I like the silent use of language here which is confluent to the next in the series. Well done!

A masterpiece of unspoken communication, not only theirs, but the athors, shows astute understanding of human nature's need to be linked into eternity in a way that is attainable to mortal flesh. I love the first verse, it shouts with enigmatic elan. And this lovely little appreciation of love's intenseness is sunk deep into my soul.

Just for the record, how long DO English tea breaks last? My "tea break" last night consisted of hot chocolate and hot apple cider. And it lasted for three-and-a-half hours.
