ARTIST'S MODEL 7
He bit into an apple -
and there she was,
his seed, his Eve:
foetally curled,
Gemini, in duplicate
And she felt her head of hair
lengthen into sable swathes
that swirled about her
to her feet,
growing heavier each time
his brush swashed through water:
She was classical, a Lady, Godiva...
He painted Eden on her belly
with a fig tree in the middle,
roots emanating from her navel -
But there was no Fall;
only a softly mounding Rise
which no leaf need cover
