Inspired by Joshua Miller's, "If I Were An Artist" - thanks Josh! LOL Kate xx

ARTIST'S MODEL 8

He became Narcissus,
seeking to touch
his own reflection
in deep, still waters...

Signing his name
on the soles of her feet;
His footprints crossing
her soul.

She became the eyes of his heart;
Her heart filling his hands.

A fusion so fluid
their touch was liquid;

Water's skin unruptured, intact;
Not even a membrane between them.

On his canvas,
springtime blossomed:
Woodland flowers,
delicate and bright.

This is so tender and nuturing, its sensual yet parental,
there is so much here, I have to catch up with all your other numbers
I do enjoy these, they are so unique

Where did the inspiration come from for these, I am just blown away...you took me to a private room, with only artist and model...and yet here I am, a fly on the wall

This is beautiful, Kate. I really like the last stanza where he is painting a nature scene. Kind of a twist.

Kate,

Not to worry, That is what poets do. It is not plagiarism to borrow a line or two. A whole piece, yes. But Kate, this is wonderful. Filled with motion and really shows the joining of the characters. Very well done. I dare say a fitting ending in the series. But is it...I enjoyed the cohesion of
"She became the eyes of his heart;
Her heart filling his hands."

Very nice indeed! I felt warm thinking that I could inspire anyone.

I'm not very good at discerning what some poems mean. This one is beyond my humble thinking process. Still a great poem about an artist and his subject.
By God I figured it out.LOL
