This is great writing, Kate. I know how difficult it is to write about such subjects without getting sappy or trite. But this breathes fresh of reality--starts trivially in a mezzo-forte, and crescendoes gracefully to the end in double ff's (fortissimo). Your two ending lines are my favorites, but I also love the visual color of your seemingly clashing examples.
In this poem, there's room for everyone. Love it. --Charlie
"Crisp autumn leaves or feathers
shed float wearily to the floor;
grace lights our dimming filaments
and enables us to soar."
Kate....yet again you have shown why we are lucky to have you around us here....we learn a lot from you....profound write as ever from you...lyrical one....cheers!

"Grace" has a uplifting sense of being with crystal clear settings ...
A poetic and multifaceted portrait Kate, this is a piece that will speak to many.
"She’s a muscle-bound old boozer
or wears a stumbling infant’s face"
These are my favorite lines, I love the contrast.
YOU ARE SO RIGHT; THAT AWESOME PURCHASE CALLED, GRACE...CAN BE SEEN IN SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS AND MEAN SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS...TO SO MANY, BUT ALWAYS...IT 'LIFTS'. EXCELLENT AND ENJOYED. THANKS FOR SHARING, LOVE AND BLESSINGS, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
"Grace", the smile on God's face, the love in his heart. And your earthly Grace eludes to the fact that same smile of omnipotence can run through the blood in the veins of mankind. There's more than a bit of grace in you too Kate. As evidenced by this intriguing perspective you scribed. It has done me much good to read and soak up the energy of this rendering. May peace love and joy hold your hand the day long my dear friend. Jon Michael
I know this woman. Ongoing since 2005. She has strong biceps and likes her whiskey. She rides hell-bent for her next match. Strike! Holy Flames of Grace.
