If you throw law-books on horses in a race, even horses will become Yahoos...

Poem Artwork

IMP-EACH-MENT-AIR-DITTY III !

Holy Smoke ! Odour of incense on Beach !
Trainers marched with saddles to straddle Leech !
« SILENCE ! » Dull as Thunder !
« Under pain of locker ! »
Grave mist hung low on Life-Savers each !

CJOTUS kept clock arms for each to preach
Who summoned Founding Fathers onto Beach !
« This race is no Trial !
Draw horse blood in phial !
Drink ! » said Chief Life-Saver Nation to teach !

Coast-Guard in Cloak-Rooms begged bets to reach
The magic number to put to sleep Teach
« Hold back horses until
All bets are in the till !
I’ll let none throw law-books on my Leech ! »

Indicted Jockey rode-off bareback on Leech !
To save face while saddled Life-Savers preach:
« No Nuts ’n Bolts-on, please !
This fake Trial must cease ! »
Come November who’ll lose this race on Beach ?

Just rolled the dice near 50-50, but one long shot threw a shoe and got back in line. So there'll be no spectators for this race, rigged before it ever got started. Now the jockey can ride off Scot free, while no one got to smell when he farted.

This a good thing, because it is a long race and a steeplechase. The next job will be the hardest. I believe he will trip over the top rung and be done. A one term, one race, wonder.

Missa Solemnis by Peter Jessop

As deafness, illness, and demonic forces close in around him, Ludwig van Beethoven must summon his faith and genius to complete the Missa Solemnis—a sacred masterpiece he believes could bring divine light into a darkening world.
