I wonder in my mind as I trod through the dark mist shrouded mountains.
Contemplating, deep mystical feelings from the inner core of my soul.
Mysteries not unraveled fill my senses. A sense of loneliness feels my mind.
The dark encompasses me as I struggle to breath in the wisps of cool mist.
It is a race between my mind and my heart as each has its own battles raging.
The darkness used to be a grace. A place of solitude and forgiving.
A place where I would escape too and from.
I don’t fear the dark and am captivated by its luminesced beauty when darkness reveals its lights as stars shoot their light to earth and the moon spreads forth its glow to guide the way.
However, no stars, no moon light this night. Only fog filled valleys and cold wisps of wiry moisture wet my brow.
I search deeper in thought as I stumble along the ridge of rock strewn boulders and under brush that is constantly trying to trip me so I fall in the dark.
As the forces of darkness rage against my inner light, I feel a sense of foreboding.
Maybe I will fall into the darkness never to see the lights reflection from within.
I want to run, but can’t find my way. Surely the day will come soon.
Panic begins to well up deep within me as I become entangled in the vines of life.
Trapped, trapped like a rat in a trap. I am snared. Totally at the mercy of the darkness.
For an instant I do feel alone as I reason as to why I am trapped within these vines.
I am strong, I will fight my way out. I reason to myself as I kick, turn and twist.
I must never give up I think as I drift outwardly through the mists.
As the sun cracks the eastern sky and the first rays drive through the darkened mists,
I awake to the smell of fresh coffee and bagels.
Left the window open. Cold as hell in here this morning I am thinking as I wonder how these damned blankets wrapped themselves around me during the night. Snared I was, Snared by satin, lace, and long legs.
Hope you like your coffee and bagels this morning honey. You were dreaming last night.
If only you knew baby, if only you knew.
This travel has a reality all its own for many. And for those who are there it gives hope to drift out of the mists and back into the beautiful dawn of a new day.
