Tranquility enriched night, soft echoes from the valley flow in harmony with my dreams.
Heroes and heroines blaze across my mind, long lost lovers
arise into reality again as the cool air from the cracked window
freshens my mind.
She calls out my name. Whispers in my ear. Soft sultry voices with
subtle nuances hold fast my thoughts.
Words paste frantic on my mind. Eager to be printed, but I don’t
remember.
Lines form and play out as the night struggles to hold back the day.
Scenes and visions hurry through my life. People trek with hectic purpose each wishing to be that last thought or memory of the night.
Rolling over warm and content to sleep forever, the morning rises
as the smell of coffee, sausage, and flapjacks waffle through my mind filling my dreams with needed nourishment.
Bathed within my own self, deprived of will, I succumb to the morning.
Oh the places I visited and the people I have seen fade slowly with the coming day. The tender taste of lover’s silken lips holds me a few minutes more as I feel the warmth of her body curl up to mine. Spooned like puzzle pieces her fingers running through my hair tingle my thoughts as the nippy fall air washes over my face.
Your breakfast is done. We have to be on the other side of the mountain in an hour.
Hmm, I would rather be on the other side of this morning and left dreaming as I roll over and chase down those wonderful fleeing dreams.
