Dear Poets,

Tell me again how delicate life is
and how every moment is so precious
tell me why the strings of instruments
can still my thoughts, soothe my consciousness
tell me again why we take for granted
the basic goodness of everyday
tell me when I forget that the winds
can be shaped in such melodic ways.
Write for me your rhymes and prose
the gentle touches of your hands
tempt the sounds where nature sings
and time is washed away like sand
type for me upon your keyboards
the various tones of every note
tell a story that listening creates
without a word from human throat.
Of tunes of wonder and delight
the gilded sounds of day and night
in softened tones touched and tendered
such places where all my wonderings render
the portal between the meaning and gist
an infinite space no mortal resists
symmetrical paths in poetical lift
the noted words of your gift.
