Reminiscent ramblings in times of stillness
draw my eyes to views outside my window
to wonder where in life what life would bring
if only I knew how to adequately express
in eloquent phrases the inner longings of time
gathered over years of knowing the pleas
of quiet mind, wanting to experience more
than to speak of softness within searches of horizons
where colors blend seamlessly in natural schemes
while inside my mind travels avenues of ideas
concerning what such a profound thing as belonging
would wake to make more than a preconceived dream.
A dream of two people, say you and me,
wrapped in a moment where all else can't be
what would it feel like what would it mean
to the stillness of mind where such want conceives
breaths flowing through bodies warming soft skins
leaving my thoughts, for once, to actually begin
a journey of the senses where no thought intrudes
into places of being beyond words or pretend
not needing the text books of how touch expands
or false words to defy the gifting within
just stillness belonging to enlighten my flesh
in motions gave from an honest hand's touch
rescuing my mind from its constant thinking
about the world in which it was forged
to exist as it is ever searching while underneath
unexplored depths of wonder lay wanting
unable to explain that which it seeks
unsure how to define its knowing only
that the needing is ever present washing in waves
upon my longing without explanation to speak.
