When time again brings refreshing to a quiet mind
the view is cleared from what inhibits to carry on designs
moments gathered here and there in blended lettered scenes
inspirations passing through the memories of dreams
dreamed by trees in summer sun, wishing for the night
to cool them from the heat of days and shield them from the light
dreams of rivers busy days full of boats and swimmers
dreams of gardener's toiling hands tending fruits and flowers
dreams of holiday approaching planning decorations
dreams wondering how to plan a well deserved vacation
to where, how long, and with whom, what to do while there
dreams of what to eat, to see and what there is to wear
during weathers hope to be full of pleasant ventures
evolving into more than thoughts to become a new adventure
dreams of meals prepared for those to who we wish to please
relieving them from stressful days to rest and set at ease
weary minds who in a day deal with the pressures of
business ends concerning matters that make their routines tough
dreams of laughing, talking, sharing times when spent apart
knowing that another would be there to keep the hearth
light and cheerful for the times when souls would need release
to rid itself of built up tensions that kept it from beliefs
that dreams of simple goodness can make right another day
all the stresses which compound our thinking on our way
making solace for busy lives to find a sweet repose
from the bustle of the world which keeps them on their toes
dreams of warming perfume scents replacing stale still airs
to provide escapes to senses releasing unneeded cares
dreams of baths moisturizing skin with nourishing oils
cotton towels to welcome touch their softness to enjoy
dreams of comfy beds and quilts to ease and rest beneath
all the dreams there are to dream without need to demean
because a dream may simply be a small way to believe
that good can be accepted, found from every sense received
whether by sight, whether by sound, whether idea or voice
dreams are living growing things when we accept by choice
the good they give, the better lend, the dreams they birth within
to the thinkers, dreamers looking for adornments to befriend
life we can appreciate as living grows through time
bringing in all that we need to dream a better life.
