It is what it is and that’s all it really is,
whether viewed in the grand scheme of things
or the window seat in your den,
it is what it is and that’s all it really is and that is all.
Or if you prefer ducks then how it walks and talks tells you everything
no matter how ridiculous or how absolutely accurate your inflections may be,
no need for conjecture, deliberation or examination,
it is what it is and that is all.
It is right here, right now, not yesterday or tomorrow,
neither are obtainable, one is gone, one is being prepared
whether it’s legitimate, whether it’s not,
whether you see the whole forest or simply the trees,
it is what it is and that’s all it really is.
You can personify it, you can deny it, you can so soft or loudly
but it is what it is and that’s all it really is
no matter how much you like it or don’t like it, that is all.
No matter how very badly you want it, or don’t want,
no matter the situation or what your circumstance ordains
it is so because it is so, despite all of your inclinations,
and really and truly that is all.
You don’t like it, yes I know, and I’m sure someone will have ‘told you so’
but then again your own excuses won’t negate it,
no insistence will discard it, neither will painting it another color,
or an expert or friendly advice, plain and simple,
like or not, it is what it is and that is all.
Like this you just read, from the thinker in my head
it is prose, it is written and that is all.
