LONG GONE WREN

Deep within the thickened woods There stands a grand birch tree Set high within its bent branches A birdhouse stands silently, empty Once occupied within its tiny walls Were a wren and her wren family Reminders of life�s full cycle Of how fragile it can be The woods grew thick around it Regaining natures place again But they�re up in those branches Sits a reminder of a long gone wren
