Walking swiftly along the beach
I hear the call of the seagull above
With a whimsical greeting in her voice

The Earth’s heart beat all around me
Keeping a joyful rhythm a constant
Singing beat in the pattern of the waves

I wonderful reminder that life’s clock
Continues on in the winds beautiful dance
Within the rhythm of the waters waves

Set to the beat of some awesome ancient time
That was put in place eon upon eon ago
Before the first soul danced along this shore

I breathe in deep the salty air and listen to
Mother Earth sing her life giving song
Assured one day I will be amongst the ancients

Sitting above with the old ones taking my turn
To watch the new souls as they happily
Dance to the rhythm of the waters waves
