Throwing my work to the side
I saunter to the mountains before me
Waking each morning to their view
A taunting experience to my senses
This day unlike the rest I don’t care
Missed work or not I must enter here
This grand mountains lair if not for the day
I would explode at the city people’s idiosyncrasy
Me the iconoclast of their behavior must
Enter the wilderness to atone with God and nature
This and only this would set me back on track
Wishing to stay forever and a day
There is a strength in the mountains that will take you through anything! Boy does this make me miss the small town in the mountains I use to live in. Great write.
