Poem Artwork

Fly through the cold night sky, wind chill upon your back.
You are so eerie yet so swift the most majestic black.
Legends have been written of you, The Raven wrote by Poe.
You are my favorite of all the birds as all my photos show.

They say you are so creepy found living at the cemetery.
That you can steal a person's soul, off then away they’re carried.
There is wisdom in those coal black eyes, with swiftness in your wings.
A strength to carry twice your weight with-in your beak it seems.

You're always into some sort of crazy mischief.
You love to scatter my trashcans all about.
Every time I step outside I hear your voice ring out.
So here is my loving Ode to the Raven.
Beautiful ebony bird who is always misbehaving!

Have never seen a raven, but you capture them beautifully in verse and pic. Well done, Theresa! (All we get round these parts is crows and buzzards)

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Yes, the Raven is a bird of mystery.
Excellent tribute for the Raven.
Always a pleasure to read your words
and gaze upon your wonderful photos..
