**this post was written with one of my best friends that I'm sure you guys have read about if you follow my posts(Kim - "Love of my life"). It started off with a few lines from her, but it reminded me so much of my relationship with my ex that we kind of took it from there. I hope you enjoy it. **

of all the things you stole from me
my dignity was the worst
through false actions and dishonesty
you bestowed on me a curse

the easy lies you have told
the aching pain you’ve wrought
makes me weary wondering
where’s the life for which I’ve fought

I thought I’d come to love you
as the years went creeping past
but know this final degredation
has now become your last

keep the words locked in tight
there’s no willing ears to hear
your oiled tongue has no use
I’ll no longer submit to fear

take yourself and leave me be
farewell to the games you play
spread your poison somewhere else
my pride’s come back to stay

Raw and to the point - very clean lines and hits with a compelling amount of forceful honesty.

Yup, that, then is the rub. When we give another person sole possession of ourselves we give them a way to destroy us with mere words. If we live over it, we find it difficult to give ourselves to another in quite that way, we always hold a little in reserve. We must for sanity's sake.

Sunrise of Thought by Bruce Humphrey

Welcome! The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help. Beautif
