Don't blame you! "Political correctness" as first conceived was in my opinion rather sensible. Typical of bureaucracy to twist it and use it as a rope around our necks!! Always be people who want to be bowed to. Make everyone miserable. You have done a great job of giving them what-for. Sure most people agree that the situation has gotten out-of-hand. Same with the euphemisms that have replaced perfectly good job titles. Hmmmm. We should both write a poem about that? Maybe others will join us?

Passionate piece! And you do know how to write those. This one has a fire; I felt it through to my bones. This is how poetry should be written, never holding anything back. Excellent!
Political correctness is only one man's or one group's opinion. That's all that is. The beat is for political leaders to do the right thing. Sad to say, most of them don't really know what they're doing.

As a result of the reference in your footnote, I read Ian Thorpe's blog and strongly agreed with the theme.
Your follow-up in the form of a poem plugs into that theme very creatively and compellingly.. The effective use of form and language creates a tone that brings the reader into the emotional zone from where your protest originated. Well done!
Hrere's a couple of examples of PC I recently discovered in Australia:
(1)Australian citizen: I oppose the war in Iraq because the reason for it -as stated by politicians- was to seek and destroy Weapons of Mass Destruction. Despite the war, no WMDs were ever found!
Prime Minister of Australia (John Howard): That statement is UN-AUSTRALIAN!
(2) A Primary School cancelled the annual Christmas Nativity Play on the grounds that it might offend members of non-Christian religions.
Your poem strikes a blow against Political Correctness in all its forms.
May your creative forces continue to flow!
