Isn’t it strange
that we think we’re on the same track
Riding the same wavelength
In harmony,
Understanding
Sharing togetherness,
We feel bonded

Yet, in reality we’re not.
The moment life issues rise
That harmony is shaken
Our concord
Synchronization
Accords for misinterpretation

Why does hostility come because we think differently.
Why does anger arise?
Why the wasted energy in conflict?

Life is so precious
Every moment is new
Why is every experience
Tainted with the past?
Why do we imagine that we know everything?
When everyone and everything is different and unique.

In ignorance we assume and assess
Viewing the situation from only one angle – our own
We determine, draw conclusions, and decide what is best.

Why not take the time to read between the lines.
Take a breath before we assess
Realizing that we all are a rhyme.
A riddle, a puzzle,
Embedded within life’s chessboard of time.

To find pieces to fit the great jigsaw
Takes patience, contemplation sweat sublime.
Takes courage, strength
Weightier than spiritual gold –
To live the life that isn’t already old.

Then it isn’t strange
To be in harmony with others
In unity, relationship, blossoming fruits so vast.
Daring to be original, supported in every worthy pursuit Loved and so loving
Treasuring and treasured by every soul one meets.

Love is no stranger not even to the strange, eccentric, and bold!
It’s no stranger.
The only strange thing is one’s inability
to see beyond, to bridge any gaps,
and simply get along…
