Why are some so keen to be mean? Cause they never know they are only a small part of a greater Being. If you have seen, then you can be covered in mud and still be clean. Do you know what I mean?

"Why are some people so keen to be mean?" - Gosh! I can ask this same question. I have seen some lately. Some are very agnry too.

We never why people behave the way they do, but I think there's a lot to do with the world evolving around all of us lately.

I saw a show where anger effects our atoms. I've often heard that angry, mean people get sick more. I believe that's true.

that's so true, everything that you say. those people who live life vexed seem to carry it around with them, infecting the aether with that negative vibe. fortunately, all it takes are people like you, with enough positivity to go round, in order to negate that energy with a natural positivity that knows few bounds.

this piece brings out the philosopher in me, and appreciation for those souls of light who shine forth with every thought and utterance. great music, too! love the jazz!

Ah, Suzie, this is the ultimate question of the universe, "Why are some people so keen to be mean?" We have ministers and priests and politicans and mystics and philosophers waxing eloquently about this evasive traits in mankind AND womankind, but no one knows. Some say the basic need for meanness has its roots in monetary unequality, but some scoff at that and point to those who can rise above their standing in this world. Some point to the Great Satan and wag their sanctimonious fingers. Still, the most so-called devout among us are caught up in evil. I dare say this will be a question that mankind shall worry and fret about until the end of time. When that day arrives we may find the answer, then again, we may not.

The intelligence quotient has to be raised on a spiritual level for misguided people in so that they may comprehend the meaning of compassion. Perhaps they should follow in your footsteps, Suzie. You are a leader in all of humanity in a kind, caring, and compassionate way. You've put yourself in a very positive environment and spiritual path that will let you go far in life. Blessed Be.

I wish sometime Suzie that life and the people who inhabit this world could be that simple. Your poem speaks of a desire for a perfect world but in truth if it were so would it not be kind of boring as well with no benchmarks to compare good and bad? Still it is a dream that was shared by many and one we as humans can keep on reaching for. Loved this combination of Ku and poetry and blending the two pastel colours livens up the whole work. well done my sweet friend.

Suzie I couldn't agree more. I have always said, even when I was a girl in upper Michigan, that we all need to get along with each other. Back then I was talking about the boys who all they wanted to do was fight, and beat up people weaker than themselves. Now I include everyone in the world, because this world could be such a very decent place to live without wars, crime, weapons, hatred, bigotry, and OMG the list just goes on.

This poem describes my feelings right down to the core of my soul. The last line here is what everyone should practice.
