In our own time
We learn our lessons
We make mistakes
Erring again and again

In our own time
We may deliver knock out punches; misdemeanors
For our karmic slate to command
The need to face, transpire, transform
The unclear element that keeps us missing life that’s fine

A life worth living; uplifting, sublime
Removed from drowning one’s sorrows
By taking every time
That substance which leads some so unkind

Oh so slowly we get it “right”
Often delaying for another night
A future that can be so bright
Because to live without, is not a fright
A
nd worth the fight
If one wishes to contribute to the world a worthy sight

We should learn from our mistakes and not make them over and over again.

A voice sings, a writer reports and tries to sing, in your words hope finds a place, wisdom reaches, but the 'heal' of reality guides it gentle to the ground, a reminder ideals are what they are a voice for other to act on. Excellent write.. Walt

Inspiring, intriguing, intense and striking... "In our own time" all is a picture taken by the heedful observer's eyes.

A wise reading "In our own time" makes one ponder and stimulates deep thoughts.

I salute You, Sublime Poet!

Well, we just have to keep adding more purposeful motivational reasons and multiply our levels of motivation. There is no time for the overindulgence of substance which leads some so unkind. Crying in the beer is not for high achievers who contribute positively to society. Wonderful insight and contribution, Suzie!

It's so sad that we have to continually fight our demons to reach out to the good, but if we give up, the evil will surely overtake us. I can relate to this. Great write. Pierre.
