Sometimes we must give up on love
Sometimes we need to dismiss loving stuff
Sometimes it seems love could never be
Especially when loving causes you to flee

Question then, was it meant to be
Was your own blindness disallowing you to see?
Y
es, it’s important: cherish humanity
But do so discerning individuality

Love for another is different for your brother
T
he quality of which is really the hitch
Love changes from one to the other
Work through the glitch and hard on each stitch

The tapestry in time will unravel its rhyme
R
evealing the pattern of our heart’s chime
The high roads, low roads, the middle path too
Our life is the art of our living on view

Points to ponder. Well written.

It's so true, "Sometimes we must give up on love" and the trick is to know the difference between those times and the times we must hold on tooth and nail... Well done Suzie!

Love does not equate to ownership and loss of all freedom....

Love is the big mystery and you do offer
as Reg says good counsel. Ah the beauty

Love is a subject about which poets have written endlessly and with your words you do justice to a fine tradition.

I find this poem to be amazing...how did you incorporate such profound thoughts into this delightful, enchanting, beseeching rhyme?!

Yes, it’s important: cherish humanity
But do so discerning individuality

I especially appreciate those lines.

'Was your own blindness disallowing you to see?'
Ahh! There's the rub.
'Our life is the art of our living on view'
Annihilation! Thy name is Love.
Brave, methinks.

Such a beautiful patchwork quilt you have created displaying honest emotional thoughts on the magic and wisdom of the ways of love. You certainly have a good grasp of life's ways and a wonderful attitude on it all.

Inspirational tapestry Art of our living should be sewn as needlepoint on a Whitman Sampler and hung above the mantle on every hearth where warmth fires our love...Blessed Be.
