So true, I smiled at an old lady in the bank the other day, and she rushed up to me to say how wonderful it made her feel and made her day. On the other hand I've had younger lasses say oye wot u smiling at Yule Grinner.... Some yer win, some yer get a busted nose...
Nothing wrong with the reaching out scenerio, except be prepared to weather the "I told you so's," and the all important non-advice you can get . . . "You've just got to get yourself together!!"
Yes Suzie, the power of caring is great, whether it be as simple as going to visit a shut in or more involved such as working as a volunteer in a non profit organization. Very nicely captured feelings in your work.
