I was fast asleep
at my house down by the beach
when a big wave came
and washed us all away
Now I'm floating with my neighbors
We're all adrift at sea
Just my house,
my neighbors, and me
I see people that I recognize
They lived down the street
Neighbors that I never
took the time to meet
I'm floating with my neighbors
and the situations grave
The neighborhood floats by
and we just wave
Theres a swift boat hero coming
but he won’t stop for us
He’s on his way to catch
his losing campaign bus
I’m floating with my neighbors
and we’re signaling for help
But the floating seems to calm us down, and no-one makes a fuss
Floating with my neighbors
We're all adrift at sea
Just my house,
My neighbors, and me
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
