Poem Artwork

There was once a man
Who lived in this forest green
He sold his soul
for a piece of gold
and minions slowly peeled away
Each layer of his skin

They pumped him full of xyloid juice
Burning acid through his veins
They took his soul
gave him his gold
and returned him to this forest
to forever live in pain

The bargain made was now fulfilled
But its no longer gold he needs
Its much much more
That he lives for
Its living human flesh
On which this creature feeds

And when he’s finished eating
He’ll package up your soul
In a fresh skin sack
And bring it back
To serve the guardians
Of the realm below

So if you want to spend some time
in these lovely woods
Day or night
Don’t sleep too tight
Or you will soon become
This demonic creature's food
