This is a time of year when I always get a little homesick for the north-woods.
Wild rice and golden leaves The scent of maple syrup a warm and cozy fire an old worn-leather chair The howling wolf A lonesome cry From their dens Bears bid goodnight Waters still before the freeze Mirroring flocks of flying geese Wild rice and golden leaves Copyright �2004 Edwin Dante Larson
